Major Updates Rock TDK Viral Community – When Will I Be Able To Resume My Normal Life?
March 30, 2008

Those who uploaded images and videos of support for Harvey Dent have seen a few new tricks utilized in the ongoing Dark Knight viral campaign, as well as a host of old ones.
Recently The Gotham Times Volume II came out, with the headline “Harvey Dent Joins Race for Gotham DA.” The article gave us some tantalizaing news regarding the race and what Harvey dent’s motives may actually be. Dent being a “two-faced” individual seems to be a recurring theme, with Dent being someone who has prosecuted allegedly corrupt policemen simply for the sake of making political headway, while avoiding prosecuting big mob members. Interestingly enough, The Gotham Times also did a little puff piece for a tenth grader named Zeke Dalwinter who has a Gotham News Site called The Maiden Avenue Report, whose front page today consisted of a few interesting headlines, including “Dent ‘Knowingly Presecutes Innocent Cops,’” “8 Cops Charge Dent in Cash For Testimony Deal,” “Unknown Group Vows to ‘Unmask Dent’s True Nature,’” and “Dent Used a ‘Hidden Slush Fund’ to Pay Off Witnesses?”
He’s not the only one gunning for Dent. A group entitled “Concerned Citizens for a Better Gotham” have launched a massive smear campaign against DC’s comeback kid. A video on their wab page states:
Eight Gotham police officers stood up for the truth today at a morning press conference at Gotham’s Hotel Internationale. One by one, the police officers took the podium and told their story. Their devastating testimony showed that Dent is a dishonest, corrupt, out-of-control prosecutor who threatened police officers in order to get them to testify against innocent cops who Dent wanted in jail. Francis Notaro, Sergeant, told the press corps that Dent had offered him money to testify against an innocent cop, Jimmy Scaliano.
Those who registered their number with Dent got a call from him, once again imploring the masses to visit ibelieveinharveydent.com. On the front Page of the site was this response:
3/30 Urgent Announcement
Harvey Dent rejects the slanderous charges made by a shadowy group of unknowns calling themselves “Concerned Citizens for a Better Gotham.”
Harvey Dent has always been truthful and upright in his prosecution of corrupt cops.
There is no truth to any of the charges put forth by the operatives behind this shameless group.
Don’t listen to the lies and innuendos of the people who want to keep Gotham the way it is!
If you want real change in Gotham, join our movement to take Gotham back!
Thus far, the DA race is a three way race, consisting of Incumbent Roger Garcetti, who maintains a lead in the pools at 40 percent. Dent is second with 35 percent, and Dana Worthington is bringing up the rear with 17 percent of the vote.
In other Dark Knight Viral Campaign news, since The Gotham Times put out Volume Two, the Ha Ha Ha Times had to respond accordingly. (Note: If you run your cursor over the ha in the middle of Gotham at the top of The Gotham Times, you’ll get a little graphic. Click on it and it should bring you there. There’s a link provided here, too.)
The page was created in the same fashion as the last edition of the Ha Ha Ha Times, consisting of altered photos, different headlines, and circled words which appear to be chosen randomly. They aren’t.
Over at the Superhero Hype forums (I’m not providing a link because almost everyone who frequents that site belongs in a mental institution; I’m not going to make any of you go through the pain of being on that godforsaken site), Sam_Cooksey discovered that:
For each paragraph that has a circled word in it, start at the beginning of the paragraph and count how many words until you get to the circled word. That number corresponds with the alphabet A=1 B=2 etc. For example, if the circled word is the fifth word in that paragraph, the letter for it is “E”
Apparently, Sam found that the messages contained were:

Made you look again. Nothing Here.Page 2:
Red Herring.
Page 3 and 4:
Seriously, how many times are you gonna fall for this?
Good question. The Answer? Until this campaign runs its course.
But, in all seriousness, somehow from The Ha Ha Ha Times we were supposed to get here. More on that as I figure out what the hell it is.
Some other new sites surfaced, including Citizens for Batman, a site with, well, Citizens for Batman.
There was some interesting stuff in the Times this time around, including the finding of the family of Jake Karnassian, whose name appeared on an ID found in a safe in an earlier Why So Serious? puzzle. According to the times “Kardassian’s wife, Jill, 45, was found bound and gagged, hanging from one of the internal gears in the ferris wheel. Mechanics discovered the body when they were making routine fixes. The bodies of Jenna, 12, and James, 10, were discovered inside two bumper cars.”
I wonder who did that?
There was also a story about somebody distributing poison cake. Does anybody else wonder if it was a coincidence this is the first Gotham Times since the cake puzzle on whysoserious.com?
Also, DA Finch is dead, and it appears the number of people affected by Fear Toxin is increasing. They’re really doing a lot of setup for this movie, and I wonder if they’ll be able to cover everything.
That’s about everything I’ve found, anyway. There’s probably a ton more, but I need to try doing some things like eating and sleeping, now.
How many times am I gonna fall for this?
