Not only is there Lego Batman to look forward too, but it seems that there are two other Batman games coming to us in the future, although little is known about either of them.

The first upcoming game is Batman: Arkham Asylum which was broken to us by the fine people at Game Informer.  Apparently the story follows a breakout orchestrated by the Joker in the infamous nut house, and will involve many of Batman’s rogues gallery.  The story is co-written by Paul Dini, who has worked on pretty much every Warner Bros. animated DC show.  Well just have to wait until the new issue of Game Informer is out to find out more.

I can’t shake the feeling that the Arkham Asylum breakout storyline has been done before but under different circumstances.  Oh well.

The second Batman game in the works has been known about for a little while, or at least since Gary Oldman blabbed about doing voice work for it.  As much as it pains me to link to them, over at Kotaku there are some details about the game from someone who supposedly played a build of it.  According to the article it is a free roaming game being developed by Pandemic, who has brough us some very solidly built games in the past such as Mercenaries and Destroy All Humans.  It seems, however, that the gameplay is a bit repetetive due to a poor camera and lack of moves.  I’m going to wait to see for myself how it is because Pandemic has yet to let me down.

An interesting part of this game is that it is based more so about the events following The Dark Knight.  Perhaps some sort of storyline involving the very much not dead Two Face?  Only time will tell.

  1. Batman Stan Says:

We can only hope that these don’t turn out to be crappy games trying to ride the coat-tails of the newly energized movie franchise.

  2. Mariano Says:

The best enemies for the next movie i think it would be the riddler (but only performanced by hugo weaving), and the joker performanced by stephen dorff.
If anyone have seen this actor in fellon, i think would agree that can make a pretty good copy of the style that ledger printed on the character…
